Prayer Room

The University of Freiburg provides two prayer rooms for adherents of the Muslim faith, one in Collegiate Building IV on the main campus and the other on the campus of the Faculty of Engineering.

Labeling of Food

The Freiburg Office of Student Services labels all foods served in the university cafeterias in accordance with the German Food Additive Approval Regulation (including aromas, food coloring, preservatives, sweeteners, and anti-toxidants) as well as the use of particular types of meat. The labels provide orientation for students whose religion prescribes the adherence to dietary laws.

Religious Student Groups

The university’s religious student groups are organized and managed by students themselves and/or by religious communities and/or churches. Adherents of various faiths can contact the religious student groups directly.
